“Yes, I am calling in regards to the, uh, Stringer, uh, game. There is no doubt whatsoever. Every picture and every video that I have seen, this kid crossed that line. I mean, that is pathetic for grown referees to do that. If they’re not gonna make the right call, they don’t even need to go. I mean, this is pathetic. Look at the picture on the Jasper County News. I mean, he is clearly, the guy taking the picture is clearly in the endzone, in the back of the endzone taking this picture. He is a full body-length from at least his waist up over the line. I mean, that’s ridiculous. I mean, why can’t these––why can’t they at least have a instant replay or something in the playoffs in high school, at least for touchdowns. I mean, they don’t have to do it for every play, but at least on touchdowns and extra points like this because, I mean, clearly, clearly Stringer should be going to South State or at least, you know––this is just ridiculous. Anyhow, I just want to make my opinion clear. Thank you.”––Male

“Yeah, I believe Stringer won. The referees just didn’t want us to win. The Stringer season does not need to be over. It does not. Those boys cheated. They know they did. When that boy got––when he got in there–-when his foot––when he hit that touchdown, those boys on that other team knew they lost ‘cause they went, they dropped to they knees. They dropped to they knees. And the referee saw how ugly they was looking, how pitiful they were looking and cheated. So, yes, I believe Stringer season does not need to be over. That game needs to be replayed, and Stringer’s gonna win if it does get replayed. But it needs to be replayed, replayed, replayed, replayed, replayed. It needs to be replayed. It needs to be replayed. And if it is replayed, Stringer win. We’re continuing to go to State. We should win.”––Female

It’s been over ten years since we made it to that level, and we gonna have it taken away by some referees. And y’all clearly have the evidence that it’s a touchdown. Will anything be done about it? “Looking at that picture, number 10 clearly made that conversion. Unfortunately, the call was not correct. But what can you do? This is truly an unfortunate situation. I wish we could change it, but we can’t. Boys, hold you head up. You had a great season. Your school is proud of you. I know how much is stinks that we can’t be playing this weekend, but we can’t. This is just one of those tough life lessons. The best thing to do is come back next year and prove them all wrong.”––Female
